Effective date: April 1, 2026
By downloading or using Tether Launcher ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These terms apply to all users, including caregivers using the manager features and individuals using the Launcher on their device.
Tether Launcher provides two connected experiences: a simplified Android home screen ("the Launcher") designed for people who benefit from a calmer, less complex phone interface, and a management app ("the Manager") that allows a designated caregiver to remotely configure the Launcher device.
The caregiver relationship is consensual and user-controlled. The person using the Launcher can view all paired caregivers and revoke access at any time.
To use the Manager features, you must be at least 18 years old. The Launcher may be used by individuals of any age under the oversight of a caregiver. By using the Manager, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the consent of the person whose device you are managing.
If you use the Manager features, you agree to:
Misuse of caregiver access — including using it to surveil or control someone without their consent — is a violation of these terms and may be a violation of applicable law.
You agree not to:
Tether Launcher includes an emergency button that can initiate a phone call and alert caregivers. This feature is provided as a convenience and must not be relied upon as a sole or primary means of emergency response. We make no guarantee that the feature will function correctly in all circumstances, including situations with no network connectivity, a discharged battery, or a device that is powered off.
Always ensure the person in your care has access to standard emergency services (911 or local equivalent) through other means.
All content, design, code, and branding in Tether Launcher is the property of On The Case Apps and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the app is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, On The Case Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on the emergency alert features.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app for any user who violates these terms. You may stop using the app at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases and you may request deletion of your data per our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which On The Case Apps operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
